I don’t qualify for the job!

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt as if you weren’t “qualified” for a job, but God somehow managed to place you in the position anyway. I’m certain that I’m not qualified to be a blogger, inspirational speaker, or author. It’s funny because though I believe I’m not qualified, God doesn’t seek qualified individuals for his plans.

If you are familiar with Bible stories, then you are probably already aware that many, if not all of our favorite Prophets, Disciples, Kings, Men, and Women etc., weren’t “technically” qualified for their roles.

For me, the first to come to my mind is King David. David was a shepard boy turned King. This means he was the keeper of sheep yet, God still chose him to be King! If I could speak with King David, I’m pretty sure he would tell us all about how he felt inadequate or disqualified. Still, God chose him anyway and the same applies for YOU!

Ask yourself if he can do it for King David what makes you any different? Whatever it is that you have been called to do or aspire to become, trust that you don’t need the qualifications, credentials, or accolades. Our Father will place you in the right place and position, created strategically for you at the right time. And guess what? Your qualifications won’t even matter. In the words of my Pastors, “God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called!”

Here’s my advice. Walk boldly in YOUR calling, keep your focus on God, be still and listen to his voice for instruction, have faith bigger than the size of a mustard seed and watch the manifestation of his promises be fulfilled in your life, regardless of whether you believe you’re qualified or not.
